Cha Cha Cha Chia

I officially feel like a chia pet every morning when I wake up! My belly is finally starting to show and we are loving it!! I've been hunting the sale racks for maternity clothes, and I must say, Im doing a pretty good job!! My mother also loves to buy me clothes and I've recieved multiple cute outfits from her that I love!! The best prices that I've found are at Old Navy and Motherhood online! I think the most expensive (sadly) is Target...who would have thought that?! Last night was a very exciting night for us...well, me! We recieved our baby bedding from walmart! It's so cute and very suttle! Matt was happy, because he didnt want anything too vibrant!! Now all I want to do is decorate:) I've also been hunting the sale racks, along with my mother, for baby clothes!! They're all soooo cute! My favorite place to shop for baby clothes is a little consignment shop accross the street from us called 'Buttons, Bows and Britches' (I think)!! I went in there on saturday and bought a ton of stuff, including booties and pajamas, for only $20! I'm sure I'll be back multiple times to shop for baby clothes:) I must say, my mother is spoiling me and the baby through this pregnancy...Everyday when I talk to her, she's bought some new adorable outfit for baby svoboda! I cant wait to see them all:)

Well, tonight me and Matt are getting our pictures done in cherokee park by Jason Coobs!! Hopefully it doesnt rain! As soon as we get them back I'll be sure to post some of them on here! but for now...here are is my stomach at 20 weeks, 3 days!

Also...Here's whats going on with baby swobes this week:
Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)

He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).

And here is a pic of how big and strong he is:)I can feel him moving around constantly now and I LOVE IT!! It is my favorite thing!!

Oh Baby!

Well, I've been having fun these past couple of days registering at Walmart and Babies 'R' Us! Now that we know what we're having--Ive registered for everything cute that is green or blue!! While on the walmart website, I decided to purchase my baby bedding, which is adorable! I bought the 4 piece bedding set which includes the dust ruffle, bumper pad, sheet and blanket for $30--It was originally $79.98! Can we say BARGAIN?! (I must take after my mother) I also bought the mobile for $21, when it was originally $29.98! Also a bargain, but Im more proud of the bedding:) The rest of the items that go with it are on my registry, because I didnt want to go too over board last night...but they are also on sale:) Here is a picture of the bedding:

So what else is going on in our lives?! Well Meredith is still working at the Doctors office full time, and enjoying it! While Matt is currently at Jimmy Johns--but--he recently had an interview at Stock Yards and Trust bank, and we recieved a call yesterday saying that he will be recieving anothhhher call in a couple of days to hopefully offer him a position as a full time teller! We are hopefully moving soon to a bigger place that can hold all of the stuff that we've aquired(more updates on that later) Our church home remains to be at Buck Run Baptist...which we love! Although the drive is a bit of a hassle(it takes an hour to get there) Its worth it! This church is so loving and kind, and filled with amazing people who love us but more importantly love the Lord!! They are always a constant encouragement to me and Matt! Books we are currently reading are--Meredith: Feminine Appeal by Carolyn Mahaney and soon to start Practical Theology for Women!! Matt: The Biography of Hudson Taylor!! We are also making our way through 2 Corinthians! Well thats all I have to type write now...so until next time--

Love you all:)

Our Little Baby:)

Our proof that He's a BOY!

A 3D image of the top of the baby's head!

Being cute already with his hand over his face:)

Baby Swobes just hangin out!

This is Baby Svoboda waving to us!

It's a BOY!!!!

Well, in light of the new discovery that baby svoboda is a BOY!, i've deemed it only right to change our backround colors to boy colors!!

The ultrasound was amazing, and ill post the pictures when I get home tonight! I decided to drink some mountain dew before we went in for the ultrasound, since we only get one chance to find out what it is, and the baby was going crazy...it was so incredible! They said the baby was healthy, weighing 11 oz!! And i gained 6 POUNDS! So the doc said I have 4 to go before i'm at a normal pregnancy weight!!! This pic is how big the baby is...about the size of an heirloom tomato...

We also recieved a gift last night from ashley and patrick!! They got us a few things, including burping clothes, bibs, a blanket and sippy cup...but our favorite was the polo(to match Matt of course) and the little shoes!! YAY! luckily everything that my mother has sent me has been adorable boy stuff! and might I just say that there were only very FEW people that thought the baby was a boy!!!

The name that we think we'll go with is Caleb Haddon! So, if you dont have anything NICE to say about that name, then i urge you to say nothing at all:) Well I'll post pictures later...love you all!!!

Here is a pic of me at 19 weeks 2 days...

BOY or GIRL?!?!

OK People!!! Only 4 days until we find out if we're having a little boy or girl!! yay! We are SO excited, and cant wait to tell everyone! This week is week 18 and everything has been going great! I've discovered that my pants dont fit me anymore, so i'm holding them together with a hair tie! it works great! I also have what you would call a baby bump! and its NOTICEABLE! We love it! haha! I've made a recent purchase this week...my first pair of maternity jeans from old navy! originally $32.50--but i got them for a bargain at $14! They're amazing, and make me feel pregnant!

I also believe that ive felt some movement going on down there. Since baby svoboda is growing so fast...it feels like someone is swimming inside my belly! haha, its interesting and i love it:) This week our baby is about the size of a bell pepper!...

...and is growing more and more everyday!!

Here's what's going on with the baby this week:
"Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and he weighs almost 7 ounces. He's busy flexing his arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. His blood vessels are visible through his thin skin, and his ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from his head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around his nerves, a process that will continue for a year after he's born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you're having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound."

Well keep checking our blog...because we'll let you know on Monday if baby Svoboda is a BOY or GIRL!!!

love you all:)

Week 17!

Our baby is growing BIG and STRONG...

So...heres whats going on this week:

'Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.' (babycenter.com)

We are getting more excited everyday for August 18th to arrive!! Only 12 days until we find out the sex of baby svoboda!! We will post more pictures that week of my growing belly...which is actually beginning to grow now!!

Also my dad is coming in tonight! YAY! We are going out to PF Changs for dinner, and i wanted to take him to Homemade Ice cream and pie for dessert...but I dont think we'll have enough time! Maybe we'll pick up a pie before he gets here and have it ready for when dinner is finished! He's on his way to New Mexico to begin a new ministry!! Let's just pray that the house sells, so my mom can join him real soon!!
