Week 16=Avocado Baby!

Well, Im 16 weeks, 4 days! It seems like its going by so fast! I've been feeling extremely tired, which is the hardest part...so far! I've also begun to grow...I finally have a little bump! YAY! I'll post a picture in a couple of weeks so you all can see:)

I want to keep all of you informed, so this is whats going on with Baby Svoboda this week:

"Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren't recognizable yet. He's even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as our baby continues to develop." -babycenter.com

Our Appointment!

Well we just had our monthly appointment and it couldnt have gone better! I gained a 1/2 pound!!! yay! The doc said I have a pound and a 1/2 to go before i reach my pre-preg weight!! But she said it would be no problem because this is the month where I should finally start showing!! Also, my urine had no sugar in it and was perfectly normal(which im surprised by bc i looove to each lots of sugary things)! And then we were able to hear the heartbeat! It was amazing...we heard it last time, but this time it was loud and clear...and the baby was moving around, so she constantly had to move the mic to find him!! I just cant get over how incredible our Lord is, to have created this little baby thats growing inside of me! ...Ive had a favorite verse these past couple weeks about baby svoboda...

13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.

14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,

16 your eyes saw my unformed body.

before one of them came to be.

Psalm 139: 13-16 ...Praise the Lord for our little baby!!!

Next month is our boy or girl appointment! August 18th!!! We cant wait to find out and share with everyone!!

We also went and looked at a Graco travel system yesterday and really liked it! We found it on craigslist for only $80 and it looks brand new! So we're going on Friday to pick it up! ...heres a pic of what it looks like :)

Week 15!

Well, we are in week 15 right now(see pic)...which means i am in my 4th month! yay!! Me and Matt took some time on Saturday to register for a few things at Babies 'R' Us! We had fun, but plan on going back when we know if we're having a boy or girl! We've also been thinking about baby names...but again, ill share those when we know for sure what we're having :) This week, I started two new projects! One was my first set of curtains(see pic) and the second was a scrap book(thanks to ashley fitz) Im really enjoying being crafty, and will post some pics of some other curtains and my scrapbook when i get the chance...but for now, here are some pics to look at ;) Im at work, so ill post more later!

Whats going on with Baby Svoboda?!

Well we are in week 14, which means I just began my 2nd trimester! yay! Baby Swobes can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. They say that when we have our next ultrasound, we may be able to catch the baby sucking its thumb:)

Baby Swobes is stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces. His body's growing faster than his head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck. By the end of this week, his arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of his body. (His legs still have some lengthening to do.) He's starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all over his body. The baby's liver starts making bile this week — a sign that it's doing its job right — and his spleen starts helping in the production of red blood cells. Though you can't feel his tiny punches and kicks yet, Baby Svoboda's hands and feet (which now measure about 1/2 inch long) are more flexible and active.

We should be able to feel the baby kick at the end of this month!! And on Aug. 18th we discover if baby Svoboda is a boy...or girl!!!

We're Having a Baby

Well...its been official for awhile, I've just now decided to write about it! We found out on Mothers Day, and soon after scheduled our first doctors appt!! After the appointment we scheduled a sonogram and were able to figure out my due date!! yay...Baby Svoboda is expected to arrive on January 11, 2009! I dont know how to post the ultrasound picture, but here is a pic of me at 10 weeks!! Im 14 weeks 2 days now, and will post some new pics before my next appt on the 24th!
